Come and learn the ins and outs of sandblasting, lasering and combining the two for Blazering!

Lead by GS2 Awards and Ikonics Imaging, you will walk through setting up your laser using top of the line Trotec lasers, and then you'll get to sandblast using the best sandcarving equipment on market from Ikonics Imaging!

This hands-on two-day technical seminar explores the innovative fusion of two distinct but complementary technologies, laser engraving and sandcarving. Seminar participants gain insight on how to upsell to glass customers by transitioning from their laser's etch to the deep-carve capabilities of a sandcarver. In addition, participants will work with substrates that were traditionally difficult with lasers, such as polished metals and hard ceramic glazes.

This seminar will focus on many aspects of both technologies. Here are just some of the techniques you will learn from each technology:

SANDCARVING:

• working with photoresist films

• halftone images

• deep-carve techniques

LASER ENGRAVING:

• using BlazerOrange masking material

• working with flat and curved substrates

• Stone Lasering Do’s and Don’ts
